I am Terri Weiss, owner of Woodlake Bookkeeping Services. My bookkeeping experience goes back 10 years when I worked for a large church in the Chicago metropolitan area where I oversaw the business operations of the church which included building maintenance, accounts payable and receivable, bank and credit card reconciliation as well as payroll. I was also in charge of organizing the many events the church held. I worked for a HVAC company doing the aforementioned duties and also 401k administration, health care administration, and inventory control. Prior to working for the church, I was in the auto industry for 10 years as a finance manager.
I have 2 adult daughters, my eldest is a social worker in California and my youngest will be graduating with her degree in special education this year.
“Hiring Terri and Woodlake Bookkeeping has been a tremendous asset to my business. I’ve been able to focus and become more hands-on in my business development and hands-off with the bookkeeping. The biggest reason I enjoy working with Terri is her personalized and accommodating approach. She’s outstanding at helping me become organized and create tracking systems for knowing my numbers. If you’re serious about spending hands-on time growing your business, hire Terri so you can get hands-off your bookkeeping.”

In my free time, I enjoy kayaking, fishing, hiking and running. I moved to Virginia from the Chicago suburbs (I’m still a Cubs and Blackhawks fan!) and enjoy exploring my beautiful new surroundings and meeting new people.
My organizational skills help me to be efficient and very detail oriented. I am a great communicator and very approachable.
I look forward to working with you in order to free you from the “books” and make you available to simply run your business.
I am the type of business person who takes full ownership for that which I am responsible. You can rest easy knowing your business is my business
